CATSA  Security Initiatives
X-Ray Visible Markers Improve Efficiency

Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is mandated with protecting the public through effective and efficient screening of air travelers and their baggage.  Radiopaque Solutions Inc. supports this mandate through the development of x-ray visible technologies for the CATSA Plus initiative.

As more and more airport security systems migrate to "remote viewing", our products enable computer driven and offsite human resources to more effectively identify objects in passenger baggage.

CATSA Plus Indicator Tags

Used for in-bin identification.

A uniquely identifiable, x-ray visible, tag is placed in each bin. When the off-site scanner operator selects a bin to be checked it is visually identified on the scanner screen by a radiopaque ID number. The bin can then be easily segregated for further screening through visually matching the bin with the radiopaque ID number identified on the scanner.
